Alien Lore No. 206 - Conditioning Us For The Visitors

In the last couple of months, on top of continuing releases by various governments (France, Russia, England, The United States), two books on UFOlogy/Alien Lore have appeared that make a lot more sense than much of what has appeared previously.  A.D. After Disclosure: The People's Guide to Life After Contact, by Bryce Zabel (of Dark Skies fame) and Richard Dolan, and Annie Jacobsen's Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base ,[1] both raise a lot of fascinating questions and pose a few answers. 

What does it all really mean? I kind of like Jacque Vallée's take on it.   Check out the the saucer UFO lore from the ground up:

• a baffling and inexplicable technology that contradict everything we know about the natural laws of time and space;
• A phenomenon that seems intricate, but absurd, and more like a dream than imagination or rational thought;
• Many thousands of people, scattered all over the world (including at least three US President, two astronauts, and hundreds of others),  see something that shatters their previous notions of what is real;
• Governments and churches and corporations heap enough ridicule on witnesses to silence many more;
• Conspiracy theorists, UFOlogists, and total wackjobs band together and some jockey for control of a murky and sometimes sinister subculture;
• Religions are born, structured around the Alien Lore.

Since 1947, when Kenneth Arnold spotted a UFO armada just eighty miles south of me, near Mount Rainier, there has been growing speculation over just what is Out There.  In the end, what do all the stories, reports, movies, books, documentaries, and investigations mean? What does this UFO thing really look like? It looks like a conditioning mechanism.   Conditioning us for what?  Why don't "They" just land on the White House lawn? As a UFOlogist once wrote "For the same reason that the chemists at Parke-Davis don't introduce themselves to their rats."  According to this school of though, we are being conditioned for their eventual arrival.  Or, more accurately--since many theorists believe they are already here--for their introduction.

As I've explained many times before to skeptics, I've written these couple of hundred pieces not because I believe in UFOs, The Greys, a Majestic-12 conspiracy, and a massive governmental cover-up, but more because I don't not believe.  No one has yet convinced me--as insane as it all sounds--that all of this is not possible.

The Krill Papers [2] are either a fascinating collection of confabulations, pretzel logic, and pure conspiracy hokum, or a shocking expose of a government that sold us down the tubes to invaders. The Krill Papers were purportedly dictated by an alien hostage left with our government when his spacecraft landed at Holloman Air Force Base in the 1960's. The Krill Papers were released by William Cooper and have been the subject of heated and protracted ebate in the UFO community. You can read them here.   If you believe Krill (read the footnote/satellite data cluster below),  you can see the conditioning is well underway.

[1] Jacobsen writes:  "The UFO craze began in the summer of 1947. Several months later, the G2 intelligence, which was the Army intelligence corps at the time, spent an enormous amount of time and treasure seeking out two former Third Reich aerospace designers named Walter and Reimar Horten who had allegedly created [a] flying disc. ... American intelligence agents fanned out across Europe seeking the Horton brothers to find out if, in fact, they had made this flying disc.

"The idea behind it remains, why? Why were they looking for a flying disc? [2] The Krill Papers stated purpose is to prove:

• Craft from other worlds have crashed on Earth.
• Alien craft are from both ultra-dimensional sources and sources within this dimension.
• Early U.S. government efforts at acquiring alien technology were successful.
• The U.S. government has had live alien hostages at some point in time.
• The government has conducted autopsies on alien cadavers.
• U.S. intelligence agencies, security agencies, and public agencies are involved in the cover up of facts pertaining to the situation.
• People have been and are currently abducted, mutilated, murdered and kidnapped as a result of the UFO situation.
• There is a current active alien presence on this planet among us that controls difference elements of our society.
• Alien forces maintain bases on Earth and on the Moon.
• The U.S. government has had a working relationship with alien forces for some time, with the express purpose of gaining technology in gravitational propulsion, beam weaponry and mind control.
• Millions of cattle have been killed in the process of acquiring biological materials.
• Both aliens and the U.S. government are responsible for mutilations, but for different reasons.
• We live in a multi-dimensional world that is overlapped and visited by entities from other dimensions. Many of these entities are hostile. Many are not hostile.
• The basis of our genetic development and religions lies in intervention by non-terrestrial and terrestrial forces.
• Actual technology far exceeds that perceived by the public.
• The United States space program is a cover operation that exists for public relations purposes. - People are being actively killed in order to suppress the facts about the situation. The CIA and the NSA are involved so deeply that exposure would cause collapse of their overt structure.
• Facts indicate alien overt presence within five to ten years.
• Our civilization is one of many that have existed in the last billion years.

Most notably, Krill said, or wrote,

"The Greys are insidious little fiends. They did exactly [to us] what they're doing here [to you]. You are not on the verge of an invasion. You are not in the middle of an invasion. The invasion has already taken place. It's merely in its final stages."

"What would you invade? [Here he describes the operational plan of the Greys from the beginning.] You would go to the most secret of communities within a society. In the case of the United States, you would go and infiltrate the CIA. You would take over some of them and you would take over part of the KGB.

"You would create great dissension and disagreement between factions of the public at large -- some groups saying they have seen UFOs, others saying 'No, no, this is not possible.' You would involve two major countries in an on-going idiotic philosophical disagreement so that while the Soviet Union and the United States constantly battle back and forth about who has which piece of territory or whether one invades Iran or whether one invades Afghanistan or whatever... whether one dismantles one nuclear warhead or the other dismantles another group of warheads -- you would sit back and laugh if you had the capacity to laugh.

"You would present yourself indeed to some in a group who would protect you [CIA or MJ-12] thinking they had a secret more secret and more perfect knowledge of something than anyone else on this planet had, and they would covet you and you would trust their own greed and you would trust their own mass stupidity to trap them. And you'd do it on both sides

"You'd show yourself to some of the mass populace to further involve [factions of] the government in an attempt to shut them up, to keep them even more busy quieting them and trying to 'stop more information about UFOs from getting out.' You'd have the mass populace to a state where they distrusted the government. 'Oh, why don't they believe us? Why can't they understand that these things are really happening? We're not crazy!'

"So you would have battles constantly about whether UFOs exist or they don't exist. You would have the public and the government at each other's throats. You would set two major superpowers at each other's throats. And you would have set up groups like 'haves' -- the wealthy but contented -- and the 'have- nots.' You would plant the seeds of massive discontent.

"Eventually you might have some show of ships landing in the 1990s. One or two. By the time they have landed, be assured they will be in complete control. You will start doing crossbreeds and more crossbreeds, generation after generation.

"You bribe the government with a few tidbits -- a Star Wars system. You tease and tempt the Soviet Union with a laser system far finer than any of their own scientists could think of. And you always have that subtle inference -- just on the borderline of consciousness so that UFOs don't seem to believable, yet you keep it couched in secrecy and make it seem quite so insane that no one would believe them. On top of it, you would unleash forces that would want to kill them [UFO contactees] if they disclosed that the CIA is dealing with the exact same things the [contact victim] is.

"Maybe one or two hundred years from now, some of the Greys will even physically mingle and you may have some creatures walking around who are pretty much hybrids between Greys and your own race. For now, anything that walks around will look much like yourselves. It's simpler. It holds down on mass panic.

"Everyone who has experiences with them [Greys] will be at odds with the government. To add to that, we will go into a complete phased of earthquake after earthquake and upheaval after upheaval.

"The inner core of the CIA is deeply controlled by the Greys. The CIA sees interaction with the Greys as a path to greater scientific achievement.

"One reason you are seeing so many different kinds of UFOs is that other cultures are watching with extreme interest. Scientists from other cultures arrive to watch. The Greys have not only taken over the intelligence agencies, they have also taken over what those agencies call 'lunatic fringe groups.' "

Alien Lore No. 202 - Dolan & Zabel on UFO Disclosure: "There is going to be blowback beyond belief:"

"A.D. After Disclosure: The People's Guide to Life After Contact" is a new book about what happens after the powers-that-be acknowledge ET/UFO reality after sixty years of concealing and obscuring the truth. 

The book is written by Richard Dolan and Bryce Zabel.  A.D. is a work of "speculative non-fiction," published by Keyhole Publishing.  In the video clip below, Dolan and Zabel discuss many of the concepts they touch on in their book.  Zabel was also a creator of the prescient show Dark Skies that we have written about on All This Is That numerous times.

This is a fascinating video of speculation on the long-standing question--not "what if?" but "when."

Alien Lore No. 197 - An interactive map of 15 years of UFO sightings.

A few months ago, Slate published an interactive map detailing fifteen years of UFO sightings as collected by the National UFO Reporting Center.  NUFORC was located in Seattle, but has now moved to a former Intercontinental Ballistic Missile base in eastern Washington. The article includes some fascinating data and maps.  NUFORC has, over the years, collected accounts of of over 30,000 close and not so close encounters with, well, something. Alien Lore No. 196: The Nation of Islam and UFOs

A few weeks ago,  the Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan delivered his annual Saviours' Day speech in Rosemont, Illinois.  In the speech, Farrakhan vowed that he would force the U.S. government to open all UFO files (ed's note: not unlike the governments of France and Russia have recently done). 

As it turns out, UFOs are a central tenet in the teachings of the Nation of Islam.  The NOI is a 50,000 person church based in America (as opposed to the Islam Religion, with almost two billion members).

An early NOI leader--Elijah Muhammad--told The Nation of a gigantic Earth-orbiting "Mother Plane" equipped with many weapons.  According to an article on AOL News, "seeking the divine in the skies is one of the core beliefs of NOI leaders and followers, which explains why so much of their literature tells of UFOs, or what they prefer to call airborne 'wheels.'"

The bummer for me, and the readers of our Alien Lore series is that it is not Greys, or aliens flying these saucers around.  The Nation of Islam teachings say the circular spacecraft were built by humans on Earth, many centuries ago, under the guidance of God. 

NOI teachings claim that the original "wheel" was built by scientists on the islands of what is now Japan, "at a cost of $15 billion in gold."  The story also says that "these original UFOs were used to create mountains on Earth."

Naturally, this is tied into Ezekiel's Wheel (ed's note: remember the song..."Ezekiel saw a wheel/Way up/In The middle of the air?").  The encounter in The Bible of the prophet Ezekiel with a wheel-like UFO, is central to the Nation of Islam religion.

Farrakhan told the group in Chicago that "Many have died or have been killed to keep from sharing what they have seen."  Does this sound familiar to any Alien Lore fans?  If you dig into nearly any Alien Lore story, eventually it comes down to conspiracy and cover-ups.

In his Saviour's Day speech the year before, Farrakhan said that in 1985 he himself had been taken aboard the craft.  And, when he was on the flaying saucer, he heard Elijah Muhammad speak to him.


The gathering in Illinois included a group of international UFOligists.  "They have in us allies. They have in us their protectors. They have in us those that will help them to gain the finance to keep up their research."

"Since the founding of the Nation of Islam, these wheel-like objects have been taught to us of their existence and their function," said Ishmael Muhammad, one of Elijah Muhammad's sons.

"The founder of the Nation of Islam, Fard Muhammad, taught us about these objects that the world calls UFOs, and he gave us great details as to the materials that they were constructed of and that most of these objects come from this planet Earth," Ishmael Muhammad told AOL News.

"He also taught us of the existence of life on other planets, as well as a highly advanced civilization on the planet Mars. He taught us about the Mother Plane (UFO) and gave us the dimensions that it was a half mile by a half mile, human-made planet, one mile in height, and that this Mother Plane carried 1,500 smaller planes."

He went on to claim that the FBI and other feds have, in their various raids, confiscated much of the evidence the NOI had collected over the years.   One of the UFOlogists at the conference said "The entire discussion [with Farrakhan] was about UFOs, and it didn't deviate. He [Farrakhan] kept talking about how heroic and brave we were in the face of worldwide skepticism and the media so often treating this at such a high level of ridicule. I was pleasantly surprised when he offered both emotional and financial support for our work, and he came across as very humble in our presence."

Ishmael Muhammad, Nation of Islam's national assistant minister, spoke to AOL News about NOI's fascination with UFOs and their fervent hope that they will somehow unite all the religions of Earth."

"I believe that the recent release of UFO documents by the British government is very significant, along with other countries that have released their own," Ishmael Muhammad added.  "I think it says that they know that contact is imminent."

Alien Lore No. 194 - The first UFO visit, and the first UFO crash 114 years ago?

This incident is often considered to be the first documented sighting of a UFO, although generally UFOlogists skip ahead to the Kenneth Arnold UFO sighting near Mount Rainier half a century later. . .

In 1897 a cigar shaped object--they weren't known as "flying saucers" until 1947--was reported by numerous Americans as it traveled from San Francisco to Chicago. Hundreds of people lined Lake Michigan in wait for it's appearance.  Earlier that same year, newspapers reported that a spacecraft crashed into a Judge J.F. Proctor's windmill and then exploded.  They found the body of a tiny pilot, described as "not of this world."  A journal found in the space vehicle contained writing in an unknown language.  Sweetly, the townspeople arranged for the burial of the tiny pilot.

In  1973, a Dallas Times Herald reporter, Bill Case, digging around the crash site found a number of metal fragments.  He brought the shards to Dr. Tom Gray, a North Texas University physicist, who said at least some of the strange pieces of metal could not be identified.

The reporter compared metal detector readings from the crash site to those at the grave of the space pilot. The unusual signals were identical. This first "documented" UFO crash is still a mystery.

Curiously, around the same time, Marie Harris, in Garland, Texas, found a strange thing growing in her backyard that was "as big as a platter, foamy and creamy, and pale yellow" and "pulsated like a beating heart." When Mrs. Harris chopped on it, its "blood" was a red and purple goo.  A biologist from the University of Texas called it a fungus. Finally, sunlight seemed to kill it.

Alien Lore No. 192 -- UFOs over Jerusalem

Thanks, as always, to Jeff Clinton for bringing this to our attention. 

A glowing craft over the skyline of Jerusalem has left UFO experts and even a few skeptics baffled. 

A round object descended over Jerusalem's Dome of the Rock last week, and was then seen to flicker and rocket off into the heavens.  People have posted other clips of Jerusalem previously, and all were generally dismissed as man-made.  This sighting has left UFOlogists baffled because this one was filmed from numerous perspectives.  In fact, judging from the buzz in the UFO this sighting and these videos are among the most important sightings in recent years. 

In fact, some UFO-heads think these widely viewed videos are definitive proof that our cousins have returned for a visit.  Some scholars and observers of a more religious bent say that the UFO is the Hebrew god Elohim.

"Erets Yisrael is the navel of the world, and Jerusalem is its center, and the Bet ha Mikdash is at the center of Jerusalem, and the Holy of Holies is at its center, and the Holy Ark is at the center of the Holy of holies, and in front of it is the Foundation Stone on which the world was founded." -The Midrash

One thing that is certain is that the pilots of the UFO are not Muslim.  Flying over the Dome of the Rock landmark, an Islamic shrine, is prohibited.


A former Ministry of Defense UFO investigator, Nick Pope, says "If these are real, they are some of the most incredible videos ever shot.  If they are not, then this is a very well-planned and coordinated hoax designed to eliminate elements of doubt."  Pope says  "the way it shoots up into the sky suggests it is unmanned, because no living thing could survive those kinds of G-forces."

Alien Lore No. 190 - A new Wikileak that reveals a U.S. v. UFO war near Antarctica

Thanks to Jeff Clinton, who frequently unearths our news tip of the day, for spotting this one...

According the European Union Times online newspaper, WikiLeaks is about to reveal the details behind a heretofore secret US-UFO war in the southern ocean, near Antarctica.

The EU Times came into this information from a report that recently circulated in the Kremlin, and that was initially prepared for President Medvedev by the Russian Space Forces (VKS) 45th Division of Space Control.

The report claims that WikiLeaks will soon release a passel of secret US cables outlining how the U.S. has been at war against UFO’s based on or near the Continent of Antarctica, since around 2004.

The report describes how the United States went to its highest alert level on June 10, 2004 after a massive fleet of UFO’s “suddenly emerged” from the Southern Ocean and approached Guadalajara, Mexico, 1,000 miles from the American border.  Before breaching the U.S. border, the UFO armada “dimensionally returned” to their Southern Ocean base.

The U.S. military and intelligence first got an extreme case of the willies July 11, 1991 (called 7/11) when during a solar eclipse when UFOs appeared "by the hundreds" over much of Mexico.  The report also claims that millions of Mexicans watched the flyover on television, but the feed was suppressed in the U.S.

Since 2004, this report claims, fleets of Southern Ocean UFO’s have periodically emerged from their bases.  The most recent sightings happened this month, over Chile.

Two weeks ago, the report says, a cruise ship with 160 people on board, was nearly capsized when hit by waves generated by UFO’s emerging from the Southern Ocean.  A ship recently sank in the waves, and only 20 of its 42 member crew survived.

You may recall the recent airspace closures over New York City (October 13th) where thousands of people witnessed UFO flyovers.  Some people are claiming these UFOs are from the same southern ocean fleet. . .

I guess we need to hang loose and see just what WikiLeaks reveals. . .maybe after Julian Assange clears up his messy legal situation(s).

Alien Lore No. 188 - Animal? or Alien in the woods near Baton Rouge? They say it's an animal, but it looks like a Grey to us.

A deer hunter captured a weird image of something wandering through the Louisiana woods one night recently.  WVLA in Louisiana (NBC 33) reports that a Baton Rouge hunter found this photo when he returned to the area in which he had a camera on a "deer stand."

On closer inspection, "the hunting camera was broken but the memory card was still there and so was this bizarre image."

Their description, "it looks like a cross between a human and an animal, with long slender appendages and glowing eyes," sure sounds like the classic EBE/Grey/Visitor/Zeta-Reticulan of alien lore.

Alien Lore No. 185 - The Greatest Story Never Told - Roswell and Commander George W. Hoover

Commander George W. Hoover, the "grandfather" of satellite technology--a friend and close associate of Dr. Werner von Braun--revealed that the truth about Roswell is a lot weirder, and closer to the accounts long ago dismissed as wack-job conspiracies, than we ever guessed. 

Hoover worked many years with with the U.S. Office of Naval Research, won a bazillion awards and medals, made huge contributions to atmospheric balloon research and to Werner von Braun's Project Orbiter--which led to the launch of Explorer I.   After he retired from the Navy, he worked with NASA and various companies in the military-industrial-space complex. He helped develop the first flight simulators, and was a very accomplished pilot himself.

In the 1950's, Dr. Werner Von Braun said "Everybody talks about satellites, then nobody does anything. George Hoover's contribution should never be forgotten."   The Vice Chief of the Navy, Admiral Harry D. Fel, said praised Hoover's contributions and organizational and logistical  brilliance.

Some UFOlogists believe that Hoover also assisted Fred Durant in the early UFO government study group "The Robertson Panel" as well as other official--both public and secret--UFO studies.

" [Hoover offered] the driving spirit, organizing genius, imagination and foresight which set in motion the mighty effort toward the first man-made earth satellite, man's first step toward space flight."  - Vice Chief of the Navy, Admiral Harry D. Felt

According to Anthony Bragalia, and Aurimas Svitojus, George W. Hoover Jr. recently revealed some remarkable tidbits about his father, including: the fact that Hoover Sr., in his official capacity, learned the real story (if there is one) about the Roswell crash sometime in the 1950s, or even earlier.  He also told his son that he had seen "evidence about the Roswell crash event that convinced him that it was neither a balloon nor a hoax."  Hoover, Sr., however would not go beyond that, and offered no further details.  George Hoover also says his dad had "both a personal and professional interest in UFOs." 

George Hoover Jr. says that his father spoke numerous times of the Roswell crash during the 1960s. Remember, this was well before the explosion of UFOlogy/coverups/conspiracies in the mainstream media in the 80's.  In the 50's and 60's, it was rarely spoken of, and UFOs and Alien Lore were not a part of pop culture, or the American psyche in general. 

An article by Anthiony Bragalia says there may be evidence that Hoover assisted Fred Durant of the early UFO government study group "The Robertson Panel" as well as on other official UFO studies.
 

In 1995 George W. Hoover Sr. left his papers with an associate of the History Channel. Some of Hoover's hints about Roswell that he had made to his own son were later corroborated in private, off-the-record conversations that Commander Hoover had with researcher Dr. William J. Birnes.

Commander George Hoover finally revealed what he really knew about Roswell. He explained the truth, or at least whatever version of the truth he had learned about decades ago.  According to more than one source, that truth was mainly the following:

• UFOs are not the "biggest secret" the government has been sitting on--it is the entities behind them (or, as wel prefer to call them, The Greys, that are of most concern
• Roswell was  a crash event of "visitors from somewhere else"
• The Greys were "not so much interplanetary as much as they were...time travelers." They visitors had transcended time!
• The visitors are clearly "from the future." There is reason to believe that they may even be "us" from a future Earth, and are not actually visiting, but Coming Home.
• These "future humans" have the ability to "manipulate reality around us."
• The government feared the intentions and abilities of the "visitors."  Wouldn't you?
• These visitors are able to use the power of consciousness in extraordinary ways to morph reality.

Alien Lore No. 184 New book claims UFOs will come out of the closet this week?

A recent book by retired Air Force officer/NORAD staffer, Stanley A. Fulham,  predicts that  next week, on October 13, 2010, we will witness a "massive UFO display over the world’s biggest cities." 

According to Fulham, the aliens will not, buzz, strafe, or communicate on that date, because they know from their previous experience with other planets that sudden intervention will cause fear and panic.

“Challenges Of Change” reports that this coming out is only the beginning. The aliens will help us remove our poisonous gasses, he says, and that all this will be done by 2015, or earlier.

"The aliens will reveal themselves in a massive UFO display over our principal cities as a first step. They won’t land but they will do so [later]. Stanley Fulham claims to have had extensive communication with The Greys, and that they have told him about things such as climate change, international terrorism, and other topics, because they want the information out without coming down themselves and causing an uproar.

Alien Lore No. 179 - UFOs over Seattle this summer

This summer, there seem to have been numerous UFOs visiting the City of Seattle.  The following were all reported by The National UFO Reporting Center (which coincidentally is located in Seattle, although soon relocating to an abandoned ICBM missile base in Eastern Washington).   [click all images to enlarge]

Report 1:  July 2010.  "This is the most awe-inspiring moment of my life and I was somewhat sad to see them leave. I really felt like I had seen something extraordinary.


"Looking in the sky to the west to slight northwest on Saturday night at 23:15, I saw about 30 orb-type lights or balls in the sky at about 90 degrees in a pattern that gave off a glow in the night sky.

"The glow was orange and red, but the formation gave off a red orange and a little twinkling, gold color. We watched it for about 6 minutes, then it seemed as half of the formation disappeared, not all at once, but within a second or two.


"Then the other part of the formation left or became invisible, leaving behind two balls that seemed larger or closer. These two orbs remained stationary for about 5 seconds before one of the two took off straight up.

"Then about 7 seconds after the first of the remaining two orbs left, the last one left or followed the rest into the night sky.

Report 2:   07-17-10, City of Seattle - "The formation/armada was huge. I was looking at stars with my dad over Puget Sound when I looked west and saw 28-30 reddish, orange orbs stationary in the sky.

"These were not florescent lights like we use on earth, it was more like a different type of light, an energy ball that had a golden tint around the formation of UFOs.


"I felt that there was a tremendous amount of radiant energy coming off of the sun-like orbs. The armada/formation of UFOs was only here for approximately 10 minutes before they vanished into thin air, like smoke." Source: www.nuforc.org

Report 3:  7-17-10, City of Seattle - "At approximately 23:28 PM, PST, in Seattle, Washington, my wife and I received a phone call from her parents (who live 1 block away), about some interesting lights in the sky over Beacon Hill (also in Seattle).

"We were told to immediately come outside and look towards the sky (due west) and see them for ourselves.


"We then saw 25+ orange-lighted objects which appeared to blink in and out as they dimmed in the upper atmosphere. They all appeared to be moving in the same direction (towards the northeast) and all seemed to stem from the same location.

"They were only visible for about 3-5 minutes. Three airplanes were seen in the sky as well (heading to SeaTac Airport to land).


"We took video on our camera, but only a couple of the objects were barely visible through the street lights. You could see the airplane clearly. Unless something is reported on our local news media stations, we are assuming that these were indeed UFOs, and a lot of them.


"We also called the local news stations to report the incident, and they informed us that they had not received any other calls about it, but would look into it."  Source: www.nuforc.org

Report 4: 7-17-10 - "My daughter and I were outside, and this object went above us heading straight due north. It was a light, silver-colored disc with a bottom that was about half the size of the craft.

"The half-round bottom looked as though it may have been translucent, its color was grayish and slightly opalescent.


"When the craft passed over what was probably SeaTac Airport, it became very, very bright and looked like a star. But only roughly 6-7 seconds later, it dimmed again and we could still see its disc/orb outline.


"We watched it as far as our eyes would allow. My daughter mentioned the uncanny lack of air traffic as this object moved over the airport area.


"About two minutes after we could no longer see it, we saw a plane come from the airport area. We did not observe the object come from the South - it seemed to just appear in the sky out of nowhere. It was east of us when looking north."  Source: www.nuforc.org

Alien Lore No. 178 -- Was Disney Onto Something Here? Does Disney Believe?

Walt Disney Television televised a most pretty cool one-hour special on UFOs in 1995, titled Alien Encounters from New Tomorrowland. This special discusses UFOs and alien visitation to earth not as some sort of fruitcake alien lore story, but as a fact. You can't buy it, but someone did record it on their VCR back in the day.  It's fascinating.
 

At first glance, this show focuses on a New Tomorrowland ride that was about to be unveiled at Disney World.  The program opens with an, in retrospect, strange, segment by Disney CEO Michael Eisner.
 
But this story is partisan. At no time do they even question the existence of UFOs or a major UFO cover-up. In face, the show almost seems to pity the D.A.s among us who doubt UFOs, or Visitors.

Robert Urich [Intro sequence over various UFO photos and film]: This is not swamp gas. It is not a flock of birds. This is an actual spacecraft from another world, piloted by alien intelligence – one sighting from tens of thousands made over the last fifty years on virtually every continent on the globe. Intelligent life from distant galaxies is now attempting to make open contact with the human race. And tonight, we'll show you the evidence.
 

 
Disney CEO Michael Eisner [standing in front of what looks like a military hangar, guarded by armed troops]: Tonight we celebrate the New Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World in Florida with a television special that's out of this world. Hello, I'm Michael Eisner, head of the Walt Disney Company.

At a top secret military installation somewhere in the United States, there are those who believe that the government is hiding the remains of an alien spacecraft that mysteriously crashed to earth. With more and more scientific evidence of alien encounters and UFO sightings, the idea of creatures from another planet might not be as far-fetched as we once thought. In fact, one of you out there could have the next alien encounter. Enjoy tonight's special. I'm going to walk over and see if I can sneak a peak. [soldiers raise weapons] Maybe not!

Yet many others still refuse to acknowledge the obvious evidence all around them. What is it like to be confronted by a creature whose intelligence and skill is far beyond the comprehension of mankind? Would it be enlightening? Would it be an exercise in terror? Or perhaps both?


Here in the New Tomorrowland at the Walt Disney World resort near Orlando, Florida, these concepts are brought to life as guests experience their own alien encounter, a sensory thriller from Disney and George Lukas. We'll give you a sneak preview later in the show. But first, we must prepare you for the future with some shocking insights from the recent past.

Alien ships seem to arrive in waves, and if the last few years are any indication, planet Earth is experiencing a tsunami of sightings. For the last few months of 1994 and lately in 1995, Gulf Breeze, Florida has been ground zero for alien encounters. Especially during the day, extraterrestrial craft have become common ornaments in the uneasy skies. You would think these alien sightings would be front-page news. So why have they received almost no national attention? The answer is simple. For governments determined to maintain their authority, extraterrestrial contact is pure dynamite.

Capt. Kevin Randle (retired air force intelligence officer): There's beings from another planet. We don't know where they come from. We don't know what they're doing here. There's nothing we can do about it. Any time a technologically superior civilization comes in contact with a technologically inferior civilization, the technologically inferior civilization ceases to exist – not necessarily through conquest, not necessarily through invasion, but because the technology changes the underlying social structures of that civilization, and it disintegrates.

Urich: Those fears are reflected in a 1960 federally funded study by the Brookings Institution, which warned that public knowledge of alien life could cause civilization to collapse.

Why have aliens chosen to visit our small blue planet, hidden on the distant fringes of an insignificant star cluster? Well, we invited them here.

There have been reports of alien encounters throughout recorded history. But since the end of World War II, alien encounters have adopted a darker, more menacing demeanor. No longer just spirited lights dancing in the sky, UFOs turned more brazen, announcing themselves with surprising ferocity.


Most alien activity on earth in this century seems to have been sparked by the single most profound technological achievement in human history. The atomic bomb did more than blow away every conventional notion of combat. It also saddled mankind with the awesome responsibility of life and death for the entire planet.


But what the world didn't know in 1945 was that the atomic bomb's brilliant burst of energy would also be mankind's cosmic calling card, announcing to the universe that a technological society had evolved on a small blue planet in the backwaters of the stars. So as the world celebrated the war's end in 1945, aliens who heard man's atomic trumpet were already charting their course toward earth, responding to our open invitation.

As early as 1947, the large alien ships began to arrive, navigated by living creatures. Their advanced physics allowed them to traverse the galaxy and pierce earth's atmosphere with amazing speed. The U.S. military immediately went on the alert against the unknown menace. Sightings were perceived as threats to the security of an America still reeling from the edgy consciousness of war. And the sightings were taking place all across the country.
More than one alien craft crashed and was recovered for secret U.S. military research. The most famous case took place in July of 1947 just outside the community of Roswell, New Mexico – famous, because local officials openly admitted they had retrieved an alien ship before their commanders instructed them to keep the story confidential. What you can't explain, they reasoned, you must deny.

This is the actual site where the Roswell saucer was discovered, along with the bodies of three extraterrestrial missionaries who didn't survive the collision. The debris and the dead were impounded and taken away for top secret study, while a classified investigative committee called the Majestic Twelve was organized by President Truman, and a government cover-up was initiated with a calculated disinformation campaign.

But while the Pentagon refused to publicly admit aliens had arrived on earth, their top secret internal memos told a different story, even detailing the various ships and the creatures they had autopsied.

By the early 1960s, UFOs were having a chilling effect on our defense operations. Their tremendous speed often caused them to be misidentified as incoming intercontinental ballistic missiles, putting American air bases on red alert. There needed to be some way for the U.S. and the Soviets to distinguish between nuclear attack and alien visitors.

Clifford Stone [retired army officer]: The Hot Line between Moscow and Washington was set up so that they could go ahead and make last-minute pleas, that "We're not attacking you, and you're not attacking us." The purpose of this was to insure that a nuclear war would not be touched off by a UFO appearing on the scopes and being mistaken for enemy aircraft.

Urich: The Hot Line eased some international tensions, but it didn't halt the interaction between the military and the aliens, which continues to this day.

Stone: [In] November of 1975, essentially every SAC [Strategic Air Command] base in the United States was visited by UFOs. We have reason to believe that the UFOs went ahead and had some effect on changing the codes within the missiles, within the launch control facility, to change where the missiles would hit.

1976, September, Iran, two F-4s try to intercept a UFO and shoot at one of the UFOs. The weapons systems of the planes go dead, the communications systems go dead. These are just two examples of cases which sound like they came out of science fiction, but in reality, they're from government documentation, documents released by the State Department.

Urich: Indications are that government, military and scientific leaders will soon release nearly a half-century of official documentation of ongoing alien encounters on earth. Perhaps they feel it would be too embarrassing not to reveal the truth, before the truth reveals itself. But these FBI files acquired through the Freedom of Information Act outline nearly fifty years of UFO reports investigated by federal agents all across America, overwhelming evidence that something sinister is at work.


This particular report from October of 1969 was filled out by Jimmy Carter. He was still Governor of Georgia at the time he witnessed a luminous object suspended in the twilight sky. Later, when he assumed the office of President of the United States, his staff attempted to explore the availability of official investigations into alien contact. As this internal government memo illustrates, there are some security secrets outside the jurisdiction of the White House.

Planet earth has always been a laboratory for alien life forms which can drop in from space or slowly mutate into bizarre fleshy organisms at our feet [holding a large mushroom]. Understanding the nature of these strange creatures from above, and below, is the greatest challenge of our age. We now know that our future, indeed the future of earth itself, rests in the balance of the solid and the ethereal, of common sense and the irrational, in our relationship with alien life as grotesque as a fungus, or as glorious as the heavens.
