I snagged this photo from the In Memory of Phil Kendall blog site. I corrected the brightness, despeckled it, turned the color down and (attempted) to fix the red-eye. I can't be sure, but I bet this photo is from the summer of 1974. He was a great smiler, and friend.

This photo was one of several taken while he was visiting relatives in Boston prior to his flight to London, late summer/early fall 1974. It is one of only two (the other one is on our blog header) that freeze in time how we last remembered him. There are others, but none that capture him the way these do........Becky
Becky - Yes! I knew it had to be that summer or close. The reason I love this so much this is eaxctly how I remember him the last time I saw him (sometime that summer). And it has that smile of his.
It brings up some sadness, of course, but it also captures his essence in an almost shocking way. Especially to us, since we haven't seen a photo lo these many years.
