I have now watched the first two Star Wars movies (Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back) which are now called the fourth and fifth Star Movies.
I remember "Star Wars" was released shortly after I moved to NYC in 1977. It is now called Episode 4: A New Hope (hmmm?). I remember seeing it in theatres; I just never got around to watching it. Many people where I work consider me a retrograde freak who has missed one of the peak highs of our lifetime.
I'll write a virgin's review after I view third, no--I mean the sixth movie.

I was just riding around in my red-hot minivan with my trophy children, and my music delivery device randomly started playing a very sludgy version of Neil Young's "Hey, hey, my, my" ... my three year old asked, "who is singing this?" I said, "Neil Young." He said, casually, "he's in Star Wars." Understanding the cryptic connection, I corrected him, "Neil Young has some Star Wars characters in his concert movie (Rust Never Sleeps), but he's not in the Star Wars movie itself." So he says: "his hair looks like Skywalker's."
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, I guess that it does.
Surely this event signals the beginning of the Apocalypse?
ReplyDeleteJack Brummet,
ReplyDeleteI saw your post
regarding web hosting review .
I have about 7 VPS servers most with different companies.
I had one with Rackforce.com that was working pretty well.
I had upgraded to their top VPS plan and I had close to 100
websites on there which was pretty good. I had some
restaurant websites, marketing info websites a wide variety.
After several months with Rackforce.com I got an email through
their support system. "Account Closed" Holy cow! Heart attack time!
I looked at the ticket and they closed the account because of one
spam complaint by one of my customers.
No warning, I had never had one complaint about any of
my customers before, first time, they shut down everything.
They did not even let me suspend
the customer's account or deal with the problem. Just nuclear option.
I tried to negotiate with them and they even refused to let me
access the data to back it up.
Lucky I had been pretty good about backups on my end.
Bottom line. If you are starting to resell hosting watch out
for Rackforce.com unless you really enjoy heart attacks.
You are just one complaint away from losing your whole
business.
I think Servint and Liquidweb are some of the best VPS providers
I have found if you are looking for alternatives.
