John, Yes, it is painful opening that door. We have all been experiencing it over again. Phil's box of memorabilia (writings, school work, letters and death details) has been in a closet at my mom's house until she passed away in 2003, when it became my responsibility to keep safe. When us 4 sisters got together to look through it (and we haven't gotten thru it all yet), we all felt it was our Pandora's box. What would we find there? Could we handle the emotions it would bring from deep within? Some days it brings more pain than others, but as we share more and more stories from his friends and each other, and learn more about Phil's life through his own writings it is bringing a sense of peace and completeness that was lacking before. I thank you for sharing and this with us, and for contributing so much. Let's keep his memory alive, but live our own first and foremost, as he and Jerry would want.
