First a public service announcement for you. The Gourds are playing in your area coming up soon:
7/8/2009 Seattle WA Tractor Tavern 7/9/2009 Seattle WA Tractor Tavern 7/11/2009 Veneta OR Oregon Country Fair
I have a co-op in Brooklyn on Adams Street as well as my Catskills townhouse. I weekend upstate. If you are in Woodstock you should drop me a line at woodhull-at-aol.com. Regardless, you should try to check out:
http://www.bearsvilletheater.com/ (and The Bear Restaurant next door) Saw Donald Fagen and Del McCoury among other acts here.
Will do! Yeah, Pete, that's where I usually see the Gourds (well, Austin too). The Tractor is within walking distance of my house.
The Adams Street co-op? Downtown? I used to live on Atlantic Ave. just down from Smith Street (and the House of Detention) and also in a loft on Jay Street right across from the subway station...
Yes, I think I saw the Gourds at the Tractor in the late nineties before I really knew who they were. I'm going to be out west around then so who knows - maybe I'll swing through Seattle and catch them...
Concord Village - huge co-op border by Adams, Jay and Tillary. You should see the ole neighborhood now - Smith Street is a happening place.
