Reconciling the 2016 Presidential Election

By Jack Brummet, National Affairs Ed.

A lot of people are posting and tweeting angry messages about Donald Trump voters. And, yes, some of those voters are bad people. But people have been wanting and needing change.

A lot of people voted not for DJT, but for something—anything—different. And they took something different—bleeding, gangrenous warts and all. That's how desperate and disenfranchised they were. We accomplish nothing by hating them. More than ever it's time to focus on caring for ourselves and the many people around the world who depend on us. We need to push to be better and tap into that vast reservoir of love in this whole world.
