Departing Obama adviser John Podesta on UFOs and full disclosure

By Jack Brummet, Alien Lore Ed,

Departing BHO senior adviser John Podesta recently reflected on his latest White House post Friday, listing the best moments and biggest regrets from the past year. His biggest regret: keeping the American people in the dark about UFOs.

At a 2002 press conference organized by the Coalition for Freedom of Information, Podesta spoke on the importance of Full Disclosure: “It’s time to find out what the truth really is that’s out there,”  he said. “We ought to do it, really, because it’s right. We ought to do it, quite frankly, because the American people can handle the truth. And we ought to do it because it’s the law.”

By Jack Brummet

By Jack Brummet, Music Ed.

Screen caps from my friend Dwight Thompson's appearance in the Rolling Stone video "Waiting On A Friend" (he's the one wearing the headband).  It was shot on a stoop in the East Village, where we worked and hung out, and where Dwight lived. . .

Kurt Vonnegut's graphs of the world's most popular stories

By Jack Brummet, American Lit Ed.

Kurt Vonnegut once said: “The fundamental idea is that stories have shapes which can be drawn on graph paper, and that the shape of a given society’s stories is at least as interesting as the shape of its pots or spearheads,” This is similar to The Motif-Index and the Tale Type Index  Click here to read a fascinating article on Vonnegut's story graphs.
