Alien Lore No. 397: Marine Officer says he spent 17 years on MARS protecting five human colonies from Martians

A now retired US Marine claims that he spent 17 years on MARS protecting five human colonies from Martians.  The retired officer, known only as Captain Kaye, also claims to have served in a secret 'space fleet' run by a multinational organisation called the Earth Defense Force.

The ex-naval infantryman, who uses the pseudonym Captain Kaye, says he was posted to the Red Planet to protect five human colonies from indigenous Martian life forms.


He claims he then spent nearly three years serving in a secret 'space fleet' run by a multinational organisation called the Earth Defense Force, which recruits military personnel from countries including the US, Russia and China.

[Pencil, Sharpie ® Fine, Sharpie ® Extra Fine, and scribe on an old crudely painted red airplane from Value Village.  Roughly 1' x 1'.  I think the plane was probably sold as "decor" at somewhere like Cost Plus/Pier 1 as a reproduction of an old toy.  It may actually be old, but it feels like it was deliberately distressed and "aged."]

432 Park Avenue dominates the NYC skyline now

I am utterly fascinated by 432 Park Avenue.  It's kind of crazy.  The first photo, from Central Park, is by me.  The second is from Wikipedia when it was under construction. 

The building is 1,396 feet tall (96 stories) and measures just 93' x 93'.  It is now the 2nd tallest building here.  The designer Rafael Viñoly based it around "the purest geometric form: the square," inspired by a trash can.

Each face of the tower has six 100-square-foot windows, or, 24 per story.  Many of the stories contain just one condo.

The new building is taller than the Empire State Building by nearly 150 feet.  One World Trade Center is only taller because of its spire.  Wow.  More of these super thin buildings are going up soon.  It's incredible how this one stands out.
