Jack, love that poem, love the cadences, and the rasp, cell distortion?, is just right.

Of course, it was you that taught me this poem (and how to read it aloud). It is among the few I know by heart. . .another favorite you often declaimed was Auden's Master and Bosun's Song ("At Dirty Dick's And Sloppy Joes, We Drank Our Liquor Straight...")

I was doing a vocal session for a character in a game last week and Gob Music was my warm up piece--much different, with my voice clear and with the studio booth reverb sounding all very radio announcer-like. But I liked this one better, warts and all.

The way you do this is pretty strange: you dial a number, tap in a password, and start singing, taling (or playing the harmonica). As soon as you hang up, it appears in your blog.
