Matt Bailey of SiteLogic analyzed the numbers and found 13.7% of Kirk's crew died during their three-year televised mission, and that 73% of those deaths were Red Shirts.

That's a good one. Going on a mission with Jack is a little like climbing a mountain with Jim Wickwire...somehow he always made it back, but his climbing partners? They're the red-shirts of mountaineering.
Funny, I must have read this on your blog at one time, but I didn't remember...
