This is a flag holder my dad (John Brummet 2nd, 1923-64) carved and painted for my Cub Scout den in the early 60's). Just recovered it in the continuing clean out of my mom's house. I guess he was an early influence....

Excellent arts & craft: Jeff Clinton found this great set of photos (creator unknown, so far) on the inets...sort of a new take on rice carving. The Elvis in particular is awesome.
