Baboons & Crowdsourcing

Bill Clinton says in six figure speeches that we all need to work together like “the great [naturally] cooperating species ants, termites, bees, and people.”
University of California/Davis researchers would add baboons to the list. They tracked a troop to see how they decided to go one way instead of another, and discovered that, rather than rely on an alpha male or the head silverback, they navigated by popular opinion..e.g., they crowdsourced the right direction.
