Houston defense lawyer Jerry Guerinot announced his retirement from death-penalty cases this month. He has a perfect record: all 21 of his clients received the death penalty and ten have been executed so far. He pointed out that "gang members, serial killers, and sociopaths" were entitled to representation, too, and that he has also taken more than 500 other criminal cases cases to trial.
