Phil Wood's beautiful alto saxaphone solo on Steely Dan's Dr. Wu

I know people have a lot of other candidates, and that a group of folks can't countenance the saxaphone at all, but the sweetest sax solo I've heard in a rock song is Phil Woods' turn on the Steely Dan song Dr. Wu. The solo kicks in at 1:30 and runs to 2:12. a) it's sweet the Dan gave Woods a 40 second solo on a four minute song; b) I just love the alto anytime at all; and c) the Dan were a spotty group, and while I held them on a pedestal for a few years in my youth, really, what they did was deliver four great songs on every album (some with, say, six) and then a handful of what you might charitably call less stellar tunes ('though perhaps not in the realm of Phil Spector's legendary "two hits and eight pieces of s**t."

Pit Bull sex breaking out in the news—shades of Enumclaw

We published a series of popular posts on the notorious Enumclaw horse sex (and human death) case a few years ago (see links below). Once again, bestiality has erupted around the country in current news stories:
1 - Tampa, Florida
A man was arrested on Wednesday for having sex with a pit bull in his front yard while hirrified neighbors screamed for him to stop. Tampa police eventually arrived and arrested 57 year old Bernard Marsonek, 57.
". . .officers...were greeted by a small crowd of residents who were disturbed by their neighbor's activity with the dog," a police spokesman told Fox 13 news. Police searched his home and found a gun and ammo. And eight pit bulls.
2 - Las Vegas, Nevada
Police in Las Vegas were called to a 23-year-old woman's home in February, after neighbors complained that she was having sex with a pit bull in her backyard. Cops arriving at the scene found Kara Vandereyk "naked and on the ground," engaging in a sex act with the dog. Vandereyk, who appeared to be on drugs, greeted officers with a "hi" and proceeded to "touch the dog in a sexual way."
She was covered with a blanket and asked a series of questions about her identity, the current date, and the name of the President. She was unable to answer the questions. Vandereyk reportedly told the officers that she was "bipolar," and on "prescription medication."
3 - Muskegon, Michigan
A Michigan previously convicted of having sex with a pit bull faces a 15-year jail term for the crime. 37-year-old Kurtis Peterson, who was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in 1996, was caught having sex with the dog on two separate occasions.
Joyce Yeaw, attempting to return keys she'd borrowed from Peterson's roommate, discovered Peterson having sex with his dog on his bed. She called police but Peterson was able to convince her or the responding officer that he was “just hugging his dog,” and no arrest was made. Then, two months later Yeaw again walked in on Peterson again having dog sex, on his living room floor. She called the police and Peterson was arrested.
In his testimony, Peterson admitted to being "sexually aroused from accidental contact with the animal's rear," but was “just playing with the dog.”
