What's up with Jeri Kehn Thompson?

Interestingly, over 100 people came to All This Is That yesterday specifically looking for photos of Fred Thompson's wife, Jeri Kehn. I can't figure out why. At first I thought she might have died. She doesn't seem to be in the news. Neither has Fred Thompson, as far as I can tell. There're always a couple of people looking, but 100? That seems crazy--and I can't figure out what triggered all the Jeri Kehn searches.

Usually when tons of people come looking for something specific, it is because there was a link on a web site, or that person or thing hit the news. There are about 20 people and things where All This Is That is at or near the top of Google searches (things like the Enumclaw horse case; the Walribi tribe handshake; The cuckoo sign and the shocker; craig's list sex scandal; Alien lore; The Johnson Treatment, etc). Those things get hits all the time. . .but this Jeri Kehn one is baffling. Maybe she was in the news and I am missing it. It looks like we are one of the first Google hits in images, but still something has to drive people to look in the first place. I don't know. This is kind of strange...

Freddie's Dead! Ex-Sen. Thompson throws in the towel

Ex-Senator Fred Thompson pulled the plug on his moribund campaign today. Only last night, we guessed that, based on the absence of recent Jeri Kehn photographs on their website.



According to the Associated Press: "Thompson did not say whether he would endorse any of his former rivals. He was one of a handful of members of Congress who supported Arizona Sen. John McCain in 2000 in his unsuccessful race against George W. Bush for the party nomination."

Where is Jeri Kehn Thompson? A dearth of photos plagues the internet. . .

Ex-Senator Thompson's website has, in the last few weeks, neglected to post any photos of bright and scrumptious Ms. Jeri Kehn. Have they decided against sending her back out on the hustings? Has she virtually thrown in the towel (not likely since she was one of the campaign's main strategists)? Clearly, the moribund campaign is on its last legs.

Have they elected to keep her under wraps since any appearance she makes juxtaposes her winsome MILF-ness against Fred's lumpy and sagging visage? Or is it just to thwart the ongoing Jeri Kehn photo series on All This Is That? We may know more soon. Certainly, the ex-Senator seems likely to throw in the towel, at the latest, by February 5th. Unless he comes to his senses and names Ms. Kehn as his running mate...

This week's photographic update on Jeri Kehn Thompson

There were few interesting Jeri Kehn photos from the campaign this week, so instead we put up a few of her miscellaneous photos we have kicking around. Who knows how much longer anyone will even be interested as the Thompson campaign sags. The incredible surge of Mike Huckabee has been mainly at the expense of Ex-Senator Fred Thompson. In the meantime, if Fred was smart--and anyone watching his campaign has to question that--he'd send Mrs. Jeri Kehn Thompson to even more campaign appearances.

Jeri Kehn Thompson hit the road one more time for one more try these last few weeks, attempting to revive her spouse's shockingly moribund campaign.

Once again, the photographs of Jeri Kehn overshadow those of actor turned Senator turned actor, Fred Thompson. You have to admit. . .telegenically, Fred seems to fit Richard Pryor's description of Ronald Reagan: "He looks like a d**k with clothes on,"

Fred Thompson, the real deal

Republican presidential wannabe Fred Thompson took a few jabs last night rival Rudy Giuliani in a speech on the ex-mayor's home turf. "Some think the way to beat the Democrats in November is to be more like them. I could not disagree more," the one-time Tennessee senator says in remarks he is to deliver to the Conservative Party of New York.

"I believe that conservatives beat liberals only when we challenge their outdated positions, not embrace them. This is not a time for philosophical flexibility, it is a time to stand up for what we believe in," said the late entrant into the Presidential sweepstakes.

Thompson never specifically mentions Giuliani in the leaked speechmade available to The Associated Press, but he's clearly trying to position himself against the rival who is--incredibly-- leading in national Republican polls. Giuliani was once a Democrat. Unlike Thompson, the New Yorker backs abortion rights and gay rights. He's waffled on gun control. His bobbing and weaving makes John Kerry look absolutely resolute.

Fred, if you want to win the election, you need to do two things. 1) Bring Jeri out on the campaign trail! and 2) Ask Rudy in a public debate why he is an expert on combating terrorism. Does being the victim of an act really make you The Expert on all aspects of that act? Rudy may be able to build a megamillion dollar business based on his alleged expertise, but can he really pull the wool over our eyes on this one?

And so it begins: Hillary and Giuliani commence trashing each other

Senator Clinton and the former Mayor of 9/11, Rudolph Giuliani have begun trashing each other in advertisements. . .as if the other dwarfs were no longer even in the race.

Rudy kicked off the war of words with a snarling attack on top Democratic contender, accusing her "spewing venom" at America's commander in Iraq. The former may of 9/11 placed a full page-ad in the New York Times chastising Clinton over her stance of the war. Shortly thereafter, he released an internet advertisement saying Clinton had turned her back on US troops, after first voting to authorize the war in Iraq, and now asking for an end to the occupation of Iraq.

"Hillary Clinton should be ashamed of herself for that," Giuliani said.

Rudy was responding to an ad by MoveOn.org, which ran in the Times earlier this week with a headline of "General Petraeus, or General Betray US?"

Clinton's campaign immediately shot back:

"It's hardly surprising that Mayor Giuliani is running the first negative ad of the '08 campaign, given his inability to justify his unqualified support for president Bush's failed Iraq strategy."

Giuliani's desperate move into mud-slinging comes just as Fred Thompson is chiseling away at the ex-mayor's lead in the race. Giuliani's hopes to seize the momentum again."He'd love nothing more than for her or members of her campaign to respond in an agitated way to what is clearly at best a very dubious linkage between what Moveon does and what Hillary Clinton says," said David Birdsell, professor at Baruch College.

Ex-Senator Fred Thompson tosses his hat into the crowded ring (with links to Jeri Kehn Thompson photos)

Fred Thompson tossed his hat into the ring yesterday on the Jay Leno Show, as his Republican brethren were debating in New Hampshire. The former Senator drew scathing criticism from fellow Republicans after he ducked out on last night's debate in favor of Jay Leno's show to announce his presidential bid.

465 people arrived here today looking for articles, photos, parodies, etc. of Fred Thompson, now that he has once again hit the news cycles. Unfortunately for Fred, however, the search engine and hot-link referrals shows that 25 of them were looking for information on Fred Thompson. We have no evidence that this swine was not an object of the Senator's attentions. Legend says that when Lyndon Johnson ran for Congress, he
wanted to spread rumors that his opponent was a pig-f***er. Johnson's campaign manager said, "Lyndon, you know he doesn't do that!" Johnson replied, "I know. I just want to make him deny it."
