All This Is That Reheated: President Bush drunk at Camp David

Photograph: unknown source. If it's yours, let us know!

From All This Is That December 29, 2005

President Bush's Christmas retreat at Camp David devolved into a troubled, drunken "bender," according to sources close to The White House. Unsubstantiated rumors have circulated throughout the year that The President has begun drinking again. These rumors seem to be corroborated by this video hosted by http://www.wimp.com..

Rumors of Presidential tippling died down in December, following the Scooter Libby indictment and The Administration's double digit bump in the polls. However, revelations of massive domestic spying and renewed talk of special prosecutors and impeachment have let the cork out of the bottle, so to speak.

Sources report that the President is drinking frequently as he struggles to map a strategy to survive his next three years in office, as well as attempting to secure a place in the history books, possibly without his close advisors Andrew Card, Rumsfeld and Cheney, as well as a faltering majority in The Senate.

On Christmas morning, the Secret Service unexpectedly cancelled a photo-op and cleared the press from Camp David, allowing only a small pool of reporters and photographers in a cabin half a mile from the presidential compound.

Numerous White House staffers willing to talk off the record, painted a picture of an administration under siege, led by a man who declares his decisions to be "God's will" and tells aides to "f**k over" anyone opposing the administration's nebulous goals.

Hammered, or a little shaky on his feet?

Earlier in the week after sharing bourbon and eggnog[1] with his inner circle, The President reportedly broke down in tears, complaining that Vice-President Cheney "is supposed to have my back, he's supposed to be the brains of the f***in' outfit!. He was supposed to be the grandpa everyone loved. . .and all he's done in the last year is bring a s***storm down on us! Even our f***in' friends are racing for the exits!"

Later the same evening, The President allegedly urged his team to kneel and "pray for the deaths of prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, Rep. John P. Murtha, John McCain, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Arlen Specter, Howard Dean, and one more f***in' Supreme Court Justice. . .to fix those pinko bastards and ACLU treehuggers. . .once and for all!"

[1] The Camp David bartenders used the potent recipe for eggnog created by the northwesterner Dean Ericksen, a former bartender, and ironically, a prominent environmental activist.

President Bush discusses long term affair with plushie "Heather"

President Bush discusses long term affair with the plushie "Heather"

By Pablo Fanque, All This Is That national affairs editor

In a stunning admission to reporters
Saturday following the White House Easter Egg Roll, President Bush discussed a long-term relationship with a plushie Bunny named Heather [1]. The President acknowledged that while he was a devout Christian, he considers his relationship with Heather to be something that "transcends the teachings of Jesus, and even the temporal plane in which my deep relationship with Laura flourishes. " The President went on to detail why he believes his relations with Heather do not breach his matrimonial bonds with Laura Bush.

Skeptical reporters asked for scriptural proofs, and inquired as to whether the First Lady knew of the relationship. One reporter, who was immediately escorted from the briefing room asked is this is "a three-way relationship?"

[1] What is a Plushophile, or Plushie, or Furry? A plushophile is someone who loves plushies. This can be for any reason and ranges anywhere from those who love to collect them to those who like to cuddle, sleep with or who become sexually involved with their plushies. Many, probably most, plushophiles are also furries. It is never safe to assume that particular plushophiles are sexually active with plushies, nor that they are inactive with people because of their plushophilia.

"Even for someone as gaffe-prone as U.S. President George W. Bush, he was in rare form on Friday, confusing APEC with OPEC and transforming Australian troops into Austrians.

Bush's tongue started slipping almost as soon as he started talking at a business forum on the eve of an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Sydney.

"Mr. Prime Minister, thank you for your introduction," he told Prime Minister John Howard. "Thank you for being such a fine host for the OPEC summit."

Several hundred people at the conference laughed. Bush corrected himself and joked, "He invited me to the OPEC summit next year." Australia has never been a member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries.

Later, Bush mentioned that Howard had gone to visit "Austrian troops" last year in Iraq. There are, in fact, no Austrian troops there. But Australia has about 1,500 Australian military personnel in and around the country.

After his remarks, Bush took the wrong way off-stage and, looking baffled, and had to be re-directed to a center-stage exit. A veteran White House correspondent seized the opportunity to ask Bush whether there had been any new message in his speech. POTUS bristled: "Haven't you been listening to my past speeches?" he asked before turning away.

All This Is That callback: President Bush's new Press Secretary Tony Snow lambasts Bush "off the record"

From All This Is That, April 2006: President Bush's new Press Secretary Tony Snow lambasts Bush "off the record"
_____________________________________

WASHINGTON, DC—With an administration in shambles, hounded by criminal allegations, a plunge in approval ratings that shows no signs of ending, and bi-partisan calls for the resignations of various cabinet members and advisors, the President this week named Tony Snow of Fox TV and radio, as his Press Secretary/Spokesman. The choice is considered both odd and bold by many Beltway insiders.

An anonymous White House source disclosed to us that the night before Snow's appointment was announced, he lambasted Bush and his henchmen at a private party celebrating his ascension to the White House.

"Look around the White House, " Snow told his friends, "Rumsfeld, Rice, Rove and Cheney are crippled! They've been shunted off into the shadows. The President is showing signs of battle fatigue. And worse. And you guys ask why I'd want this job! With this gang of f***-ups, I'll practically BE President! How could I miss that? On the Q.T., and I mean don't even tell your wives, Bush is a basket case. They just shuffle him in and he reads the TelePrompTer as best he can. It doesn't matter if he agrees or understands it or not. That's no longer an issue. He is no longer a functioning member of the government. And let's face it, he wasn't all that swift to begin with. You still ask why I'd do this? OK. Yeah, I'm losing a million or so a year. It's not like I won't make that up the first month after I leave office. But most importantly, I can basically run this f***ing country. And the rest of these sycophants, ass-kissers, and thugs can't say jack s**t. They're so petrified they'll be the next on the chopping block that I can do whatever the f*** I want! Whatever I say becomes White House policy and none of these fools, cowering in their offices with their lawyers and shrinks will dare make a peep."

Snow also told his assembled friends "I can't tell you everything, but some of the stuff I've been hearing about Bush would shred your minds. He makes Captain Queeg look rational. As Huxley said 'In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.' Well, pals, I have two fine f***ing peepers. This is gonna be a sweet f***ing ride."

President Bush succumbs to blackmail and commutes Scooter Libby's prison term

President Bush today commuted Scooter Libby's multi-year sentence to time served (that is, zero days). While I suspect Bush will wait to actually pardon Libby until his last day in office, January 20, 2009, this is just about as good. Bush seems to have waited until the last minute. The court had just ruled that Libby must begin his sentence while his appeal winds it way through the court system. This meant Libby would go to prison in the next couple of weeks.

It seems like The President let Libby sweat it out until the very last moment, possibly in hopes he would actually be clipped, or to let him stew on it so long that when it actually came, he had Libby in his pocket forevermore.

From the administration-friendly Drudge Report:

Bush Spares Libby From Prison...Grant of Executive Clemency...Statement by
President...

Special prosecutor challenges Bush assertion...

Obama: 'This is exactly the kind of politics we must change'

Fred Thompson: 'I am very happy for Scooter Libby'

Pelosi: 'The president shows his word is not to be
believed'

Statement From Libby's Attorney...

Hillary: 'In this administration, cronyism and ideology trump competence and justice'

Why did the President exercise executive clemency to protect Libby? Obviously one reason is to protect the shadow president, VP Dick Cheney. As you know, All This Is That has speculated over the last year or so on other possible reasons, including various blackmail schemes involving variously, the Attorney General Roberto Gonzales, the Vice-President, and Donald Runmsfeld, among others. Recent All This Is That articles on the events and personalities surrounding the Scoter Libby fiasco and sentence commutation:

CNN: Bush Resigns

The CNN Today program, just after midnight Eastern time, led with a graphic 'Bush Resigns.' Of course, they meant 'Blair Resigns.' Even though the graphic was on screen 12 seconds, the screen grab is now all over the internet...

Is the world going redneck?

Conservative candidate Nicolas Sarkozy trumped Segolene Royal in the hotly-contested French presidential election, 53% to 47%. And 85% if the eligible voters hit the polls. . .the frogs may be little misguided, but they turn out to vote in numbers that make America look pathetically apathetic.

The White House has to be celebrating this one. With Stephen Harper as the PM in Canada, and now Sarkozy in France, The White House may have some friends. . .especially now that Tony Blair is hitting the bricks. And those pesky frogs have caused President Bush nothing but trouble over his adventures in the middle-east. You do have to wonder, when do the riots in France begin?

Ungawa! A parable of George Bush's failed "mission" in Iraq

A Texas business man traveled to Japan for some business meetings and a few rounds of golf. He arrived in Tokyo the night before his meetngs.

Feeling lonely that evening, he employed a gorgeous young Japanese girl as his companion. The girl spoke very little English and the honky businessman. of course, spoke no Japanese. Over the course of the night, the ended up making the beast with two backs. . They made passionate love, and in the heat of the moment she began yelling "Ungawa! Ungawa!"

The Texan knew he had pleased his hot Japanese friend and soon fell sleep.
The next day, Mr. Businessman was playing golf with his Japanese hosts. One of his Japanese partners made a hole-in-one shot from 170 yards away! Everyone went crazy and began yelling excitedly in Japanese. Wanting to impress his friends, the Texan joined in and began yelling, "Ungawa! Ungawa!" Suddenly everyone became quiet.

After a moment of silence, one of the Japanese turned to him and asked "Wrong hole? What do you mean wrong hole?"

Two More Blows Against The King: Another Rough Week At The White House

click the George flag to enlarge

1) An Ex-Aide Loses Faith in the President. Matthew Dowd joined George W. Bush’s in 1999, jumping from the Democratic Party. He believed in George Bush, and was one of the top aides who built the flip-flop strategy that tarred John Kerry throughout his Preidential bid. He was Bush's 2004 chief campaign strategist. In an interview, Dowd called for a withdrawal from Iraq and expressed extreme disappointment with The President. Dowd has even considered writing an editorial "John Kerry was right."

2) D. Kyle Sampson calls A.G. Gonzales a liar, and by extension, The President. Gonzales' credibility is already in the toilet due to changing stories, and damaging document disclosures. Now, he may have taken a fatal hit when Sampson told the Senate Judiciary Committee that the attorney general had been long and deeply involved in an action that Gonzales has said he knew little or nothing about.

3) At least five other stories surfaced this week depicting mayhem in The White House. The President is slowly becoming President in name only and his bellicose sabre-rattling has become just irritating background noise. The mood of the country seems to be "let's just get through this next 21 months with as little damage as possible."

Another rough day at the White House, Part 98—Tony Snow's cancer has returned

Tony Snow, the White House Press Secretary who beat colon cancer two years ago, revealed Tuesday that the cancer has returned and spread to his liver, delivering another jackhammer blow to family and friends, and of course, to a White House already staggering from a stunning barrage of bad news.

Tony Snow's cancer was the latest in a never-ending torrent of bad news for The President: the conviction of a former White House aide, a guilty plea by another former official, mass defections from within his own poltical party, resignations of other functionaries, and a shotgun blast of revelations of lying and skullduggery that now jeopardize the attorney general's job.

Studying the odds, it is bizarre that so much has bad luck has befallen this White House. But, alas, The President seems unable to catch a break. His house of cards is about to hit the deck.
